Richard Silberman - Founder & CEO
Richard Silberman is the Founder and CEO of To Life! Capital. Mr. Silberman has over 35 years’ experience in the fields of Environmental Sustainability and Health & Wellness. He has particular expertise in business development, marketing, management, and public speaking. For nearly 30 years he was a principal of, and for the last 15 of those years he was the majority owner and CEO of, Healthy Buildings International, Inc. (HBI). HBI was arguably the premiere firm in the United States in the field of commercial building indoor air quality testing & diagnostics, and one of the premiere firms in the fields of sustainability and health & wellness. HBI was acquired by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) in June 2019.
Mr. Silberman holds a B.S. in Mathematics from The State University of New York at Albany and an M.S. in Energy, Resources, and the Environment from The George Washington University. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and a Certified Energy Manager.
Mr. Silberman lives in Saratoga Springs, New York with his wife of 12 years Peggy and has a son Sean and a daughter Sasha. In his free time he likes to play frisbee with his Australian Shepard ‘Caymus,’ play tennis and ice hockey, go bicycling, play the guitar, and travel.
Dan Lieberman - Advisor
Dan Lieberman is the co-owner of Lieberman Companies Inc. (LCI), a 113-year old family business that operates amusement games, distributes ATM’s nationally and owns Elsie’s Place, a chain of gaming cafes. The company has founded and expanded a variety of businesses including Lieberman Enterprises, a once NASDAQ traded record and video distributor and Carousel Snack Bars, which grew from a single location in an arcade to a 250 unit national restaurant chain under the A&W name. He currently heads LCI’s effort to acquire and grow “green” companies, focusing on the solar, wind, energy conservation and green building industries. Through his efforts, the company has made 3 strategic investments.
Mr. Lieberman holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He has been an angel investor for over 15 years and is active in his community, serving as a judge for the Minnesota Cup, as well as a volunteer for The United Way and the Minneapolis Jewish Federation.
Mr. Lieberman lives in Minneapolis, MN with his wife of 25 years Suzanne and has three sons Emet, Charles, and Leo. In his free time he enjoys coaching youth basketball, playing ultimate frisbee and bicycling.
Dean Tyler - Advisor
Dean Tyler is the owner of Dean Tyler Photography and D2 Properties. Mr. Tyler has over 25 years of entrepreneurial experience in sustainability and health & wellness. Mr. Tyler started Air Care Technologies in 1994 as a consulting/contracting firm focused on indoor air quality, remediation and environmental engineering controls. From 2001-2016, Mr. Tyler’s focus was on indoor air quality, health & wellness, and sustainability as a Vice President at Heathy Buildings International, Inc.
Mr. Tyler holds an M.A. from University of South Florida and a B.A. from Eckerd College. He is a WELL Accredited Professional, LEED Accredited Professional and Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant.
Mr. Tyler lives in Hancock, Maine with his spouse of 28 years, Denise. In his free time, he is an avid hiker, kayaker, and birder.
Anthony L. Bruno - Advisor
Anthony Bruno is a serial entrepreneur who has worked in the printing, hospitality, and real estate development industries mainly in the Atlantic City, NJ area. He has experience acquiring underperforming businesses and growing them into highly profitable entities, including Print Art, Inc. and the Laguna Grill restaurant. He has also built businesses from the ground up, including the design and construction of the facility out of which the business operated, such as Gourmet Liquor Store and The Carriage House. Mr. Bruno’s skills include sales, operations, administration, budgeting, marketing, personnel management, and construction management.
Mr. Bruno holds a B.S. in Economics from the State University of New York at Albany. He has been an active participant in community causes including the NJ Big Brothers and Big Sisters, St. Michael’s Parish Atlantic City, WaWa Eden House, and Assumption Regional School Board.
Mr. Bruno lives in Port Republic, NJ with his wife of 27 years Christine and has two adopted children, a daughter Lia and a son Min. In his free time he enjoys coaching youth basketball, playing basketball, thoroughbred horses, and collecting fine art.
